Hello Ruby Greenberg here and I’m often asked “if I’m not sure which lender I’m going to use, should I fill out an application and send documentation to every single lender?”

The answer to that is no, and the reason is twofold, one you don’t need to be spreading all of your financials all over the internet, two there are humans on the other side of those uploads that are reviewing all of your documents and so it is a waste of time for you to upload those documents to five lenders when you know you’re only going to go with one. So I highly encourage that you interview the lenders. You can ask them about rates and fees, talk to folks who have used them in the past, read the testimonials, and talk to your realtor to find out if they are a quality lender. Once you have chosen that lender that’s when you fill out the full application and upload your documents.
