The Bite of Phinneywood

The inaugural food tasting event that we are thrilled to help bring to the neighborhood!

We hope you are in town on September 17th to join us at the Bite of PhinneyWood. The Phinney Neighborhood Association is organizing the taste, and Salmon Bay Community Lending is all in!

We have a passion for our local community, and sponsoring seasonal events is one way we show our support for the PNA and the great work they do to connect neighbors.  Through their events, classes, and community organizing, they have built a Phinney/Greenwood community that feels so positive and cohesive that it is an honor to be involved!

Like most businesses that make up our community, we are bite-sized! So, we know, as a small business, the PNA is an invaluable resource that brings people together to form bonds and network through fun and engaging events!

Our neighborhood is fortunate to have Chris Maykut at the helm of the PNA. His enthusiastic and creative leadership keeps our community active, folks connected, and small-business owners supported! We love seeing the community show up for Rainbow Hop and Hunger Goblin, and we eagerly anticipate an exciting gathering at this year’s inaugural Bite of PhinneyWood

Meet & Eat & Connect

Celebrating the Food of PhinneyWood!

Salmon Bay has been a part of the Bite of Phinneywood planning committee since conception, well before the pandemic ground events halt for two years. We place a lot of importance on finding creative ways to support all of our business neighbors, which is why we are so committed to getting this event off the ground! In addition, The Bite will be a fantastically festive gathering with the opportunity for neighbors to meet our local restaurant owners and sample delicious bites from their menu!

It was simply a lucky turn of events that the Bite was looking for a presenting sponsor, and we were able to make it work.

Participating PhinneyWood Restaurants

Yum, Yum, Yum!!!

The exposure everybody gains from  PNA events, like The Bite, is the continued opportunity to build a robust, close-knit community where support begins at home!  Chris says he has 25 participating restaurants at the Bite this year, and with almost 200 tickets sold so far, he feels pretty bullish that the event will sell out! So,  don’t miss out on this festive, culinary Phinney Neighborhood event, and get your tickets early!
